Other Events

As well as the regular survey and projects which are detailed elsewhere on this site, we do organise some other events. e.g. visits to roosts (with the owners' consent we hasten to add)
and trips to other bat groups.

These often come about at short notice. If you would like to be notified please e-mail us and we will add you to the e-mail circulation list.

Woodland Bat Surveys

Now in its fourth year. We hope this year to do mist netting of not just barbastelles, but other rare bats we have reason to believe are lurking in Bedfordshire. Look out serotine,here we come.

Bat walks

Every year bat group members help with bat walks in Bedfordshire. (Please give us as much notice as you can if you want us at your event as things get very busy in the summer months).

If you are planning any such event, we will be happy to publicise it here and in the newsletter. However, we only guarantee to update this site quarterly at the time we produce the newsletter. So if you would like us to publicise your event you need to notify us by the end of the first week in Sept, Dec, March and June to give us time to do this. If you E-mail us details we will circulate it to people on the events E-mailing list usually within two or three days.

BCT produces a range of leaflets and posters for bat events. We hold a stock of these, please contact us if you would like to use some at your bat event or contact BCT direct.
