Noctule roost at Putnoe wood blows over.

Having found a new roost at the weekend, it is now time to report the loss of another one. This tree was home to some Noctules in a Bedford Wood. It has recently fallen over.( You can see from the picture how frail it was)
Doubtless the Noctules will find somewhere else.

Martin has claimed part of the trunk for his bats and trees workshop in March. We hasten to add the roost died of “natural causes”  and Martin was nowhere near the scene.
