Mist netting in Luton

Several of our members works as consultants, and as the season has been hectic for them can rarely get out to bat group surveys. Martin is one of these unlucky souls. He had a mist netting licence for ages now, but just hasn’t been able to get out to use it. This weekend he finally got a chance to try out his skills. He and four members of the bat group went to a wood in Luton on Saturday, set up nets and waited – and waited. Bats sometimes have no sense of fair play, not one of them would head into the net, though a few a few were heard circling. Better luck next time Martin
