Kings Wood

We have  over 60 boxes to check do this is a long day. We are hoping to start ringing bats this year. An ideal chance to see bats  close up and a chance for trainees to get some handling experience.

This is the fifth year of this project and this year we plan to continue ringing the Natterer’s and Brown Long Eared bats that use the boxes.  We hope to be able to work out the social relationships between these bats, following  research done by North Bucks Bat Group in Finemere Wood.

All work is done under licence by Natural England Contact Bob.

 Harrold Odell May to October

We are also checking boxes here at on a monthly basis , contact Kel for details
