When we visited in May there were very few bats present, but more came to join the group as the months wore on
The bats left the pre-maternity common pipistrelle roost on July 2nd this year and John Adams tells us that at their peak their were 93 of them in residence. You can see from the graph below that this is a late departure compared to most years – another indication that pipistrelles are giving birth later this year as the bats move to another roost to give birth
