Numbers were down at the roost last night to a mere (sic ) 750. This was probably because the juveniles were born early this year and so have dispersed. We’ll have to see what happens in a fortnight. Once again we heard noctule activity close to one particular tree. We staked it\u00a0 for an hour a fortnight ago an heard no noctules.
