The Bedfordshire Bat Group was formed in 1988 and is a partner group of the national organisation, The Bat Conservation Trust It is affiliated to theBedfordshire Natural History Society
The bat group works for bat conservation within Bedfordshire and Luton, ;carries out surveys of bats and maintains a database of bat records; works with people to provide in us information and raise awareness of bat conservation;

What we do
We carry out wide range of surveys most take place on private land and for insurance are only available to members, the main exception to this its the fortnightly is the Stockgrove survey which occurs fortnight and is one of our best sites .

Membership of the Bedfordshire Bat Group only costs £8-00 per year. Members receive 4 issues of the Bats in Beds newsletter . It will also mean you can attend all bat group events Members are invited to join the closed Bat Group groups.ii newsgroup
Membership covers everyone one living at the same address. We have over 150 members.
Subscriptions are due for renewal in January. Those who join after August 1st of a gf given year will automatically have their subscription carried into the next year.
