The weather forecast for Sunday was decidedly dodgy, but the intrepid team managed to complete the area which had been selected and get bet back to the car just as it began to rain and managed to eat some cake. ( As an indication of how busy we have been, this is the fifth cake Jude had made this week)

Viv and Malcolm were good at spotting potential roosts, Tori was a very efficient recorder while Nicky Soggy and Antonio collected data, Bob Photographed every potential roost and Soggy was  additionally tasked with putting labels on all the potential roosts trees.

In all eighteen  potential roost.trees were found and recorded

All this on a bitterly cold day with a really biting wind.

For any member with a masochistic streak, there is one more survey planned in March.

Later in the season the plan is to target ” hot spots” and see if we can find out if the roosts are being used, something we can check again on the Bat Map weekend.

Thanks to everyone who took part.
