A purpose built bat roost

One of our keen members is having a new house on the site of an old one. There were a few bats in the attic and she has had a splendid bat house built as mitigation. Yesterday Bob went with he to visit the new structure with a view to deciding how best to monitor the roost automatically.
The roost was designed by another member of the bat group,  Martin, who runs Cherryfield Ecology.  He, like us, is hoping bats will like their new home.
