On Saturday night Bob ran a course for the Herts and Middlesex bat group to give them a chance to hear barbastelles. Twenty of them came over, and so did the rain clouds. They braved the rain, as did one lone barbastelle, which about three quarters of them heard it passing. They have already heard a bat in Herts.
