Final hibernation survey of 2017

As the snow fell albeit gently, the brave souls of the bat group headed out into dark and dank spaces to look for bats., fortified by flapjacks and cake.

Once again we had a bumper haul. The total for the weekend was 204 bats

137 Natterer’s,
4o Daubentons,
18 Brown long eared bats,
4 barbastelles,
3 Myotis who were too hidden away to make a definite ID
No pipistrelles
2 bats so hidden away any kind of ID was impossible.
