We have done walks here for years but because August is peak trapping time we have only been able to manage one otrwo a season. So Bob offered to train some of the Ampthill Friends to lead walks. They have organised four walks in August which ae fully booked.
We were out having lunch on the day after the first walk. Bob was waearing his Bast Group T shrt and a man came over and asked if he was involved. Bob explained that he wasn’t but had traindd the volunteers. The man went into some length explaining just how much his kids hadloved the walk and admitted to finding it fascinating too. It is oddly rewarding to be made redundant!
