12 people joined the survey on Tuesday and a fascinating evening it was. We heard our first Nathusius and a large number of big bats, most identifiable as Serotines and Noctules at the gatehouse.
For the first time we made use of static detectors and got some fascinating results. For the next survey we will deploy a static detector at the Gatehouse again and try a couple of other sites for the remaining detectors.
