George and Bob installed two replacement hibernation boxes in our 3rd most used hibernation site, a purpose built hibernaculum. The existing boxes were on a damp wall and had rotted, falling to the floor. The new boxes were placed somewhere drier.Checking for any bats already in residence, two Daubenton’s were spotted at the far end. Bob decided to try the instillation and he and George were so quick and stealthy that the bats remained undisturbed.
