“I’ve got my sad face on today, we deputised for Soggy last night at the Lakeside maternity roost site. It was rather chilly, 9C, didn’t see any bat food flying near the roost, and the bats in there decided to stay home. Had a Wood Pigeon do a fly past by the exit where I was watching, and a couple of planes fly over, including a Tiger Moth.

However we did have bats flying near the lake.

Daniel Hargreaves, the bat photographer extraordinaire was there, he’d set up near the lake, haven’t heard if he did manage to get any photos.”

Bob was with Daniel but he came up empty handed.
