More bats were in the boxes at Stockgrove than the were at Harrold Oddell but didn’t leave them , probably because it was chilly. Some of the b0xes had pipistrelles in them. Others couldn’t be identified because they snuggled so deep in their boxes.
Some were hardier and flew, so we were able to watch them feeding over the lake. We see these on most surveys.
Daubentons bats are medium sized bats with big hairy feet, which they use to trawl the water to catch their prey.
