Had a very successful AGM.
Amtony Mould scared us to death with his tales of bat expeditions in Tasmania and the Philippines which basically consisted of “we waded upstream for 3 hours and climbed into mountains for another 6 hours . We made a shelter of leaves and the next day went down hole which we entered by a rickety ladder, crawled through crawl spaces and found amazing bats”. Lots of new records and very exciting from the safety of a chair.
Amongst those present was our youngest member who met his first bat who sat patiently through the business of the AGM and was rewarded with his first encounter with a real bat.
