Every year the bat group goes round to John Adams’ common pipistrelle roost. This year was special as it marked 25 year of John collecting data. ( 2009Adams roost). His daughter made a fantastic cake, which was one of many. We feasted while waiting for the bats to come out.

Bob tried out his prototype of a bat catcher and managed to catch three bats in quick succession. We were able to show these to those who had come to watch – bat group members and friends and neighbours. Last year we caught a male for the first time ever, but this year all the ones we captured were females.
