Wardown Park Survey

Two days of good weather in a row.Geraldine says

“Another dry evening for a bat survey, the temperature and humidity didn’t drop much between the start and end times.

The bat  boxes contained spider webs.

It was a Common Pipistrelle night. The first bats were sighted close to the museum, near the tennis courts. There was a lot of activity over the lake, with the frequent sound of feeding buzzes. Some of the Pips were flying low over the flooded lake.

Recording hasn’t been analysed yet to check if any other species were present.”
