Autumn Swarming

While people in Wiltshire were catching 5 species including Brandt’s, whiskered and Bechstein’s at a swarming site at  a mine entrance ( and bemoaning the absence of horseshoe bats) Martin was having a go at one of our small swarming sites.  ( We have no mine sites) It was a quiet evening and when only two brown long eareds had turned up by midnight, folk returned to their beds – but like the Terminator says “We will be back” – are going to have another go on Thursday
