After the flurry of activity yesterday, I am almost pleased to announce things have gone back to normal.

Bob, Mark and Nicky checked the remaining Kings Wood boxes and found only 2 occupied. One contained a pip which wriggled free before it could be identified and the other contained 3 Brown long eareds, one of which tries to savage Mark before it too flew off.
Then it was off to Brown’s Wood, where Soggy got some practice setting up a mist net. There weren’t many bats about and onlya single soprano pipistrelle was caught in the harp trap. Elsewhere in the wood Danny,Nicky, Bill and Alex heard a Noctule, a brown long eared and some Mytois bats
