Bat talk at Sharnbrook

Friday saw us visiting the Sharnbrook beavers, a very lively group of 20 youngsters

They had been on a bat walk at Harrold Odell Country Park at the beginning of September and we had promised them a talk.

They found it hard to concentrate and my talk which normally last 25 minutes took 50, so there was no chance to get onto the activity I had brought with me.

I had also planned to talk about Sharn the Noctule who was found at Sharnbook school, but there wasn’t time for that either.

As we left they were able to let off steam by rushing about, and we drove home in blissful silence.
