On Friday night we held the bat group AGM. We were very pleased with the turn out considering we had has twenty apologies from members who could not attend.
We began the evening with the matters that have to be covered by the AGM. This session was led by Danny Fellman

Jo and Bill volunteered to join the committee.
Bob then outlined what we had achieved last year – which took a while and thenj Jude talked about the Greater Stockgrove Project.
We found 103 potential roosts at Kings Wood this winter
We then had a break for tea and cake, and folk had a chance to see the photos of the Kings Wood Roost Hunt
to eat copious amounts of cake

and to meet the captive bats that Steve and Feed had brought with them. They were stored in a side room net to the kitchen, which filled with steam from the urn . No bat was hurt during this excitement.

Stave then showed off Nicky his permanent captive Noctule who spent the rest of the evening snuggled under his collar while he gave his part of the talk. Steve and Fee did a very neat turn taking on the talk It was fascinating to hear about the work of another bat group and we look forward to getting together again in August
