On Tuesday Nicky and Danny carried out the second check on the boxes and we got an excited texzt. They had found a pipistrelle in a box. But that was as nothing when they found a brown long eared in another one. This is hugely exciting as we haveo nly one very ancient record of brown long eareds at Priory. We have been sure they are here, but they have avoided nets and traps and refuse to make enough noise to beĀ  picked up by a bat detector.
