A new species for Priory Country Park

Last night we were Nathusius trapping. It was a quiet night with only 10 bats caught. But one of them was a new species for the Park. The only Bats known to be in Beds and not found in the Park areĀ  now whiskered and Brandt’s as Danny pointed out. Some people are never satisfied. In fairness must be said that he was very pleased to meet the Natterer’s, and the Natterer’s seemed pleased to meet us.

Jude was not so pleased when she found what she thought was a crumb of chocolate cake and only spotted at the last minute it was a slug!
