The Bedfordshire bat group wishes to claim the record for the shortest migration of a Nathusius yet recorded. We returned to the area where the box containing the two Nathusius were, checked all the boxes in the area , which were empty,and almost immediately caught the male ringed a fortnight ago. We estimate he had migrated all of 10m. All the bats we caught tonight were males of four different species..
