Finally got all the Feb survey results:
Totals for all sites are 159 Natterer’s, 47 Daubenton’s, 1 Myotis sp.,7 BLE, 3 Pip sp. and 3 unidentified, making 220bats in all. Dead bats and unseen “squeakers” were not counted.We found bats in 14 sites. No bats were found in the remaining four sites.
We came up empty handed for barbastelle. Perhaps because of the weather being milder.
The number of brown long ears tend to fluctuate year on year and the lower number this year fell but not out of the usual range.
