As with other events so far this season we had a healthy turnout, or so we thought. On the day three had to drop out because of what we hoped were just colds .
The four remaining folk managed to locate 62 of the 63 boxes. Some had been squirrel nibbled but they hadn’t been able to gain entry. ( The boxes not the people).
Each box was checked more in hope than expectation with brave souls climbing up ladders to check the boxes
.
Only one bat was found and was treated like royalty as Bob pointed out key features before the bat was returned unharmed to the box
We will quest for the 63rd box next time. During lockdown the wood was well used, as a result new paths have been used, which made navigation tricky.
