Bob had a meeting with the manager of the barbastelle woodland on April 20th to identify possible sites for the new bat boxes. He wanted to identify where coppicing was planned. Coppicing is an important tool in wood management, so we the wanted to avoid any areas earmarked for coppicing as if the boxes get used by bats, the trees are protected by law.
It was a lovely wood, and luckily the most suitable area in not in the management plan for coppicing
