National Bat Conference

Several of us have just got back from the National Bat Conference held this year at Warwick University. This is a great way to meet up with other bat minded people and catch up on both the gossip and developments in the bat world.

While most of the group could relax, Jude had to work hard. She ran two workshop sessions on how to involve people in bat work and finished off by making a presentation to the conference ( some 400 people) on the  outreach work we have been doing with the Priory Rangers and the work  which  that led to in Luton.

This nerve wracking event was made worse by the fact that they loaded up the wrong presentation and it took a while to find the right one. Time went very slowly indeed for Jude stranded on the dais. The talk was well received and both Jude and Danny have been dealing with e mails from conference attendees since they got back.
