We always get a backlog of sound recordings from surveys which wait until Winter to get analysed. Kel took a break from refurbishing her house to analyse a recording from Harold Odell Country Park made last year and found we had discovered the rare barbastelle there. We had thought for a long time that there ought to be barbastelle here, but at long last we have confirmation. We try to make as many recordings as we can because it is possible to miss calls when you are out in the field. This shows it is worth while.
