Wrestlingworth Gravel Pit – A new Parish Nature Reserve

The Wrestlingworth Parish Walking and Wildlife Group have identified this  neglected patch of woodland and water set in intensive arable land as an area they could adopt  and actively manage to improve wildlife habitats in the parish

An article about the reserve appeared in the September issue  of the Bedfordshire Natural History’s publication “Wild about Beds”. Bob contacted them and offered to have a look for bats for them.

He went looking for bats on  October 6th. Not unexpectedly no bats we found, but we may have another look next spring
