Yesterday the sun shone and members of the bat group were delighted not to get wet when they checked Baker;s Wood at Stockgrove Country Park for possible roosts. It is so much easier to do when the leaves are on the trees. We found a lot of potential roosts but only covered the half of Baker’s Wood even though we spent over 6 hours looking. So we will try to get back to finish the wood at some point. Then we will have to stake out potential roosts to see if any one is in residence.
Next week we repeat the exercise at Harrold Odell Country Park.
