Stockgrove survey

Amidst all the chaos of chasing barbastelles, some things continue as normal. Angie comments below on Monday’s Stockgrove survey

Monday was a quiet evening for the roosts at Stockgrove, all boxes were empty but T7 was again home to Noctules (3rd time this season) with 3 emerging between 10.00 and 10.03pm. The first bat, a pip, was heard on the path between T1 & T2 at 9.10. Several more pips, mostly Sopranos were heard along the rest of the route. The first Noctule was at 10.12 over the lake. The Daubentons count was 27 passes. Once again the activity at the lake-side was very good with several bats, again mostly Sopranos, coming close to us”

Good to hear the noctules are still at home.
