It is officially Spring. Birds are singing, flowers are blooming and bat group members are getting excited about the new season. Kit is being dusted down, checked and given new batteries. The Bat group funds (which come largely from data searches for ecological consultants) have been raided for new equipment in readiness for the new season.
Bats are waking up and we are beginning to get more roost visit requests.
The most recent one was in a church,Soggy went to check and found no bats, but she did find a nesting barn owl sitting on its egg- A real bonus
