Back in December 2012, we told you about the arrival of yet more boxes for our woodland bat box scheme. Having spent the intervening time resting behind the sofa, cowering from the rain, on Sunday , the sun shone and so they were taken out into the outside world. They were put up in record time and it didn’t rain, not even once.

Mission accomplished .We’ll be interested to see how quickly these are occupied.
On the way back to the car, they had a quick peer at a couple of other boxes and were rewarded with the sight of a snug pipistrelle.
